Scripture:John 9:1–5
Focus Verse:“As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth.” – John 9:1 (NASB) Reflection:
In a crowd of people, Jesus noticed one man who couldn’t see — a man who had been born blind and was considered cursed or insignificant by society. But Jesus wasn’t looking at him with judgment; He was looking with purpose. The disciples saw a problem to debate. Jesus saw a person to redeem. There are moments when you may feel unseen, overlooked, or misunderstood. But John 9 reminds us: God sees you. Not just your struggle — He sees your value, your story, your future. And He wants to work through it all for His glory. Question to Ponder:
Where in your life do you need to be reminded that God truly sees you? Prayer:
Lord, thank You for seeing me when others don't. Thank You for knowing my heart, my burdens, and my purpose. Help me to trust that You are at work in what I cannot see. Amen.
Scripture:John 9:6–12
Focus Verse:“So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.” – John 9:7b (NASB) Reflection:
Jesus didn’t just heal the man instantly. He made mud, placed it on his eyes, and told him to go wash. The man obeyed while still blind — no evidence, no guarantees. And when he followed Jesus’ instruction, the miracle came. Sometimes God asks us to trust Him before we see the result. Obedience often comes before clarity. You may not understand what God is doing, but when you walk in faith, you open the door for transformation. Question to Ponder:
What step of obedience is God asking you to take today? Prayer:
Father, even when I don’t understand the process, help me trust Your Word. Give me the faith to follow You and the courage to obey. I know that You are working through my obedience. Amen.
Scripture:John 9:13–34
Focus Verse:“One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see.” – John 9:25 (NASB) Reflection:
After receiving his sight, the man didn’t receive applause — he received interrogation. The religious leaders questioned his story and tried to discredit his experience. But the man stood firm: “I was blind. Now I see.” Following Jesus isn’t always easy. Sometimes, people won’t understand or agree. But your story matters. What Jesus has done in your life is powerful — and it’s worth sharing, even when it’s not popular. Question to Ponder:
Are you willing to share your faith story, even when it’s challenged? Prayer:
Lord Jesus, help me stand firm in my testimony. Give me the boldness to speak the truth in love and the confidence to share what You’ve done in my life. Amen.
Scripture:John 9:35–37
Focus Verse:“Jesus heard that they had put him out, and upon finding him, He said, ‘Do you believe in the Son of Man?’” – John 9:35 (NASB) Reflection:
After boldly testifying about Jesus, the man was thrown out of the synagogue. But while others rejected him, Jesus came and found him. Jesus always moves toward those who are pushed aside. Rejection hurts — but it can also lead to deeper revelation. In your loneliest places, Jesus shows up to remind you that you are not alone. His love doesn’t back down when others walk away. Question to Ponder:
Can you recall a time when Jesus met you in a season of rejection? Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You come near when I feel left out or forgotten. Remind me that my identity is in You, not in the acceptance of others. Help me to believe and follow You wholeheartedly. Amen.
Scripture:John 9:38–41
Focus Verse:“And he said, ‘Lord, I believe.’ And he worshiped Him.” – John 9:38 (NASB) Reflection:
At the end of the story, the man who was once blind doesn’t just walk away healed — he walks away changed. He believes. And he worships. Seeing Jesus for who He truly is leads us to surrender and praise. The greatest miracle in John 9 isn’t just the man receiving sight — it’s that his eyes were opened to the Savior. When your heart sees Jesus, worship becomes the natural response. Question to Ponder:
Has your faith led you to true, heartfelt worship of Jesus? Prayer:
Jesus, I believe You are who You say You are — my Savior and Lord. I worship You not just for what You’ve done, but for who You are. Help me to live each day with open eyes and a heart full of praise. Amen.
